Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, the Canadian-American musician and singer. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco's music is classified as alternative rock and folk. But, they contain influences from jazz hip hop punk, and funk. She is widely considered to be a feminist icon. Grammy winner Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement being one of the pioneers of artists who started her own record label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in the city of Buffalo in New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who had the pleasure of meeting Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father is Italian descent and her mother is from Montreal. Ani diFranco wrote and sang the song 32 Flavors. It was included in 1995 on the sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The track is on the film soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate from 1999. DiFranco apology was made in the year 2013 after it became known that she had planned to hold a 3-day workshop on a Louisiana former plantation for slaves. Though she was able to pull the workshop out the majority of attendees (including the authors of our article) were not able to feel regret. DiFranco made a second apology two days after her first apology. While she's been referred to by the name of Little Folksinger, her songs span a wide range of kinds of genres and collaborates between Pete Seeger to Chuck D to Prince. She is a resident of New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives in New Orleans with Kristen Ford. In her teens, she started writing her own songs. In her teenage years she was performing songs at bars and cafes. DiFranco is a student who graduated at age 16, at the age of 16, from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts High School, began taking classes in Buffalo State College. Ani's baritone was a custom Alvarez guitar that was made through a series of consultations with Chrys and an Alvarez artist representative during the time. It has their System 600 preamp and has an all-solid wood construction, with a cedar upper side and back as well as an fretboard made of ebony. The house she lives in is in New Orleans with her husband with two kids and Lefty the dog with a long leash who wanders into and out of the view while we chat. DiFranco, who is now 30 years old, admits that looking back on the past has caused her to have mixed emotions. Ani DiFranco is a Punk/Folk Singer-Songwriter.
