Coleman is a Lancashire native. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for her A-levels. When discussing her character from Emmerdale she expressed her regret at not attending a university. Coleman was part of a group named In Yer Space at her school. The group performed Crystal Clear in Edinburgh Festival. The award was presented to her for her performance while the play was also received favourably. Coleman got the Emmerdale part of Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with the drama school. In 2007, Coleman was awarded two Awards. The British Soap Awards nominated her as the best newcomer. The National Television Awards, she was also nominated most popular newcomer. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was recognized in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other characters have left the series. Moffat claimed that he selected Coleman for the role of companion because she could perform best alongside Smith. Also, Moffat noted that she talked faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working active in the field for more than 30 years and is involved in numerous TV and film projects. She has been much more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva is best known for her roles in the role of the character Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children as well as detective Natalia Boa Vistas on CSI Miami. The character of the character Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children garnered the actress two Daytime Emmy nominations. This gave her an opportunity to display her talent in music. Eva is not just an actor, but also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Her third husband is father of her daughter.
